1. After use, the Volume Meter should be thoroughly rinsed with cold water. This is easily accomplished by installing a trycock in a water line to which the Volume Meter may be attached and then flushing all traces of beer from the instrument.
  2. Remove the aspirator bulb (1042) and rinse in warm water to keep the check valve from becoming sticky and inoperative.
  3. The pressure gauge (2013) may also stick after use and should be soaked in warm water overnight. Rinse in warm water after soaking to remove all traces of beer that may have accumulated inside the gauge.
  4. "O" ring lube is supplied with the Volume Meter and should be applied to the valve stems after prolonged use of the instrument. "O" rings are also available for replacement on the valves.
  5. A few drops of oil on the ball race of the clamping device (2037) will facilitate its operation.
  6. Guard against severe shocks to the Volume Meter which might cause damage to the thermometer or gauge. If the thermometer is broken, it may be replaced by following the instructions enclosed with the Volume Meter or it may be returned to the factory for replacement. The gauge can also be recalibrated in the laboratory or it may be returned to the factory for re-calibration at a nominal charge.
